SafeOnline Programs

SafeOnline programs meet the needs of:

The changes since I started speaking about online safety in 2005 are profound and encouraging. While we should all be concerned about the overuse of technology by children and teens (and ourselves), there are some encouraging trends towards pro-social uses of technology as well.

We are more informed by research and about the need to more consciously access online media. Media companies are responding with online time-tracking apps such as Google’s Digital Well-Being or Apple’s software with features to make visible some of the choices we are making when it comes to our time spent online.

ONLINE WORKSHOPS & WEBINARS

I have transitioned my workshops to a combination of live online webinars supported by web-based resources. These online workshops will interest parentseducators and social services looking to learn or update their knowledge and skills. Live topic discussion, slides, a Q & A session and access to a comprehensive collection of resources makes this option convenient for small to medium-sized groups.

IN-PERSON PRESENTATIONS

I am very pleased to once again be able offer in-person Presentations, Workshops and Keynotes. My presentations are information-rich, academically-referenced and thoroughly engaging. All content reflects my restorative justice values and is informed by my 18+ years as a youth worker. I like to take an energizing, pro-technology approach to the issues of technology to empower students, parents, frontline staff and caregivers with positive, educational thought-bombs and resources.
